About
My passion for weather came from my upbringing in Chicago, IL. I fondly remember playing in the snow, running in the rain, and watching in awe at Midwest thunderstorms. I took my meteorology passion to the University of Miami, where I received a B.S. with majors in Mathematics and Meteorology, and a minor in Physics in 2013. From there, I earned my Ph.D. in meteorology at the University at Albany, studying a variety of topics from severe weather to hurricanes to the jet stream.
In addition to meteorology, I am an avid chess player. I've been playing chess since 6 years old, and I am now a nationally ranked expert playing at the highest levels. I also love to travel and have been to over 15 countries and counting!
